Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for growing a ...

I am trying to grow a pineapple out of just a top. I am propagating it in water, under a grow light, and in a 60 degree room. It has been in the water for a week and I have changed the water a few times. Are these tiny roots? I can’t tell yet. Any suggestions would be helpful! #PlantAddict #PropagationStation #GrowLights #PetsAndPlants #PlantLove #TropicalPlants #GardenLove #HappyPlants
I see two bumps that could be baby roots! Make sure you keep the water clean and take off any parts of the fruit or any parts that look rotted at all. I tried to grow pineapple that way before a few years ago and it took AGES to grow roots, so just have patience. Great job! πŸ’•
@UberCoccoon22 Thank you so much! I am so excited to be on this journey.😊 #PropagationStation
Oooh! 😯 Exciting! If you can, avoid tap water. Make sure you let it dry and callus before propagating it. I think it will do amazing! 😻 Keep it posted!
Thank you @Idplantthat I have well water. That should be fine? I will keep everyone updated on it!❀️
@TryCorncob13 definitely, well water should work great! You can add silica to your water to encourage rooting as well. Just look on Amazon for a monosilicic acid and apply it to your water.
