Should I put my aerial roots in water?
If I put the aerial roots from my #Monstera into water, will this encourage #NewGrowth? I heard that some people have put them in water and their plants have produced a lot of new leaves. #MonsteraMob #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PLANTMAFIA

Yes! It will continue growing ..if you want your plant to climb they are best left alone!
@user3337 thank you
@dylan1stokes happy growing!
as long as they're getting hit w humidity they'll be happy
@RJG I’ve been trying to increase the humidity in my flat recently as I have a few new tropical plants, mainly my calatheas but I have a humidifier now and keep the heating on all the time just low
i am in the same mode! how's that working for you?
@RJG I think it’s going alright I think after another week I’ll be able to notice a difference a bit more. Have you managed to increase your humidity??
@dylan1stokes Yah. I got a big boy humidifier tho πŸ˜Άβ€πŸŒ«οΈ
@RJG ah right, my one is tinyπŸ™„
this is the one I got! if you watch it, they go on sale all the time. i didn't pay close to this much for it. @RJG thank you, I was looking to get a bigger one but thought the small one would be alright
@dylan1stokes it's certainly not bad. i had a smaller one. i just had to fill it up way more often πŸ˜‚
@RJG yeah every couple hours, I just want to make sure it’s enough for all my plants
@dylan1stokes I guarantee it's helping!
i put my monstera adansonni’s aerial root in water and she’s growing new vines (not leaves, VINES) everywhere. worked like a charm for me πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
@arcana thank you, I’m going to try it and see how it goes
@RJG I purchased this humidifier for Freddie my fig leaf fiddle in November. I started to see new growth a couple weeks later. I’m curious what level you keep your humidifier set to? The highest level? 60’s?
I have mine set at 65 and sitting under my #CalatheaCrew
