🀩 @JungleNes showed off one heck of a plant corner this week! The mixtures of leaves is bringing me peace. I can't imagine how nice it is in person! Post πŸ‘‰πŸ» https://greg.app/post/139UV7

🧠 @Azplantchic I'm with you on both points. Normally not the biggest fan of the crazy sculpture like pots but in this case an exception had to be made! I can't wait to see it in like 2 years with a brain exploding out of its head. Grow GROW GROW Einstein! Post πŸ‘‰πŸ» https://greg.app/post/38QOLZ

πŸ‘ΆπŸ» Some of the freshest plants you'll see this week are courtesy of @SpookyLink and all these amazing cactus seedlings! Watching them grow from this size to maturity is so fascinating. I hope you'll keep us posted on their progress. Post πŸ‘‰πŸ» https://greg.app/post/42X90R

πŸ›Έ @Jessejohn's airplants are popping off! Those blooms are gonna be so cool Clearly some happy spaceships.... I mean plants..... More πŸ‘‰πŸ» https://greg.app/post/2Z7MB6

πŸ‘―β€β™‚οΈ Finally, one of the coolest phenomenons in plants from @Pugpansies sunflowers!! This is call fasciation and they're quite literally conjoined flowers. Truly a stunning show of plant growth! Post πŸ‘‰πŸ» https://greg.app/post/OHMHW

Thanks for all the posts!! I'll see you all in the comments!

#FreshLeafFriday #FreshFeaturedFriday #GregGang #NewGrowth #HappyPlants Happy Friday to one and all! I was taking a short break from my digital devices. But as you can tell it didn’t last very long. I am generally not a great proponent of decorative pots Opting instead for the minimalist Terracotta pots. With one exception of course. I saw the cactus pot and thought that I had the perfect cactus for it. And the Mammillaria Elongata seems to like the pot as well. The Mammillaria Matudae keeps blooming and those tiny little flowers are too cute.Then there’s the Orchid which Iβ€˜m desperately trying to keep alive! I removed two of the older lower leaves to encourage more growth, hoping Iβ€˜ll be successful 🀞🀞So after removing one of the lower leaves I notice something green peaking out of the soil! What could it be? Are Orchids known for growing pups?? In time we’ll see! So that’s it out of my Oasis for today. Everyone enjoy the upcoming weekend and take care!
@GrowFriend Lovely Philodendron are you going to help it climb up a pole?
She busted out of her potπŸ˜‚
@Ms.Persnickety amazing on the orchid and beautiful on the rest. You got a great thumb πŸ™πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ’•

@UniquelySapote those look amazing🀩. You did a awesome jobπŸ™Œ
These plants are thriving!! Kinda makes up for the planticide episode with my Baby Toes this week. My Ripple Pepperomia (sp?) is sprouting a whole lot of little babies in this jungle of leaves. And Pink Lady (Creeping Inch) plant was a tangled mess. I didn’t know it and I thought she just wasn’t growing much. I spent 30 minutes gently untangling her delicate leaves and look how big she is!!! Yeah πŸ’•
@Ms.Persnickety you always have the cacti πŸ‘€πŸ¬πŸπŸ«
@Preciousplants1 well, I wasn’t planning on repotting it… but I did, and also a couple of others.. I’m not getting all my stuff out & just do 1 plantπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
@GrowFriend Use a well-Draining & Aerated Soil. The Philodendron pink Serpens being aroids, prefer a soil that drains quickly to prevent root rot, while still retaining some moisture. A good quality potting mix rich in organic matter will provide the necessary nutrients and structure for healthy growth. Here’s a good combination for Philodendron mix. Potting Soil: This is the base of your mix and provides nutrients.
Perlite: This lightweight volcanic rock improves drainage and aeration. Orchid Bark (fir bark): Improves drainage, aeration, and prevents soil compaction.
Orchid Bark: Orchid bark has a coarse texture with larger pieces that allows for better drainage and air circulation around the roots.
Coco Coir: A sustainable alternative to peat moss that improves drainage and moisture retention.
Horticultural Charcoal: Helps fight off bacteria that can develop in dense, wet soil and absorbs excess moisture.
Worm Castings: Adds nutrients to the mix and improves soil fertility.
@TheConservator yasssss Queen!
@UniquelySapote this is SPECTACULAR! I’ve killed all of mine offπŸ˜‚
@UniquelySapote same! This Alabama heat has them struggling!

Happy a day late #FreshLeafFriday and @RJG Yesterday was hectic but I have GROWTH! My Billie leaf must of opened one day this week, I was hunting for it all curled and this is what I found! It’s so beautiful. My Fry seems to be putting out a nice variegated new leaf after a full white one so I’m very happy about that and my orchids are blooming
I’m just a new plant mamma and I’m growing a false Christmas tree cactus and she has gotten so big from her floop droop area to a big strong supper green!!! Thanks to @JungleDreamer!!!
Thank you so much for getting floppy out of her floop droop area with some god β€˜ol soak of water!!!! (She needed it🀣) she is also growing some new limbs she is on a roll!!!!
My dog is a menace! Asides from my recent #CrotonCatastrophe (follow the hashtag for the whole dramatic story), he’s also the perpetrator of an attack against my beloved anthurium, Stanley! I’m trying to save Ziggy (the croton) but Stanley has recuperated and this was I even spotted a new leaf or sheath that he’s growing! #ComebackKid #NewGrowth #NewLeafAlert #HappyPlants #PlantTherapy
Happy plant? Lol... Still not sure since it's my first one.
I had this fresh new beauty this week. Noticed that Achilles is putting down more aerial roots into the soil. πŸ™‚
Hello! I’m new to the community and nice to meet you all. I’m excited to share my newest plant arrangement, especially as my cactus begins to bloom.
@DesertGreen Fuzzies are cacti that disguise themselves as soft and furry. But when you try to cuddle, it leaves a million love bites😍😨🌡
@ModelMoonwort86 Welcome πŸ₯³ Your arrangement is spectacular 🀩 I’m a big fan of Sedums 😍 , and admire a lovely moon cactus. What are the rest?
@Gorgeousplants Congratulations πŸ₯³
@ComicalKaro81 This is incredible. I’ve never seen this stage before. Is that going to become a flower?
@DesertGreen thank you
Nice on Stanley!

What do you think your dog finds so intimidating about your lovely anthurium?
@DesertGreen Dragon’s Blood Sedum
@RefinedSandwort thank you
@TheConservator really? I might look into it., when it’s desert summer has finally passed. Right now, I’m at a nice point of indoor and outdoor plant attention management.

Tomorrow or Friday, I’ll get to visit a local nursery, and hopefully get an answer to: What grows in 109 degrees, full sun for weeks at a time?
I hope he doesn’t look at me and laugh.
So many babies!!! πŸ₯³
