Um. What?

Alright. I got this poinsettia as one of those kits with the seeds and soil and fertilizer this winter. I've never had luck, but after picking which plant would be the strongest, here I am. Photos below are May 15 and yesterday.

What is this? What's happening? Is it happy? I'm so confused πŸ₯΄

Woah. My other planty app is saying it’s a love-lies-bleeding πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I’ve never heard of it but it looks neat
@EagerPhlox that looks much more accurate than what the package said it was πŸ˜‚

I'll have to research πŸ€”
@PlantMompy I’m intrigued! Apparently Amaranthus is also known as summer poinsettia, so maybe that’s what the package meant. Still kinda misleading tho! πŸ˜‚

@EagerPhlox it was literally sold at Christmas with a fairlisle pattern on it πŸ˜‚ definitely misleading
Poinsettia is actually a tropical plant. Somebody just started selling them at Christmas πŸŽ„
Wowza, great job! That's a happy plant for sure!!
@PlantMompy it’s a Amaranthus caudatus.
