I would like to hear some of your #PlantLegends !! Talk t...

I love to hear stories about how someone's plant came to be in their collection. Or successful props taken from established momma plants. There are some good stories out there....so tell me some of yours #GregGang...

Fair is fair.....here is my tale of OG Original.....the first plant that ever survived my care.....
Got him 7ish years ago from a patient of mine I cared for during a summer. She gifted me this hanging pothos...."l can't take it with me to my new house....you need a plant!" She says....
I brought him home.....tried my best to murder him....overwater...under water....over trim...rootbound....we've done it all.
I am so proud of myself and this plant for hanging in there with me!! #plantaddict #pothospack #planttherapy

So my story isn’t all that fascinating… just recently my mom gave me an African Violet. As she was handing it to me she said β€œStacey you know where my African Violet from…”. I of course hadn’t a clue… she said β€œfrom aunt Mabel about 15 years ago” today aunt Mabel is 100 years old and she’s still doing her own gardening! πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
Wow! He looks great! And what a fantastic story you both have!

I’ll be honest, most of my plants have stories. I moved half way across the country a few years ago, so all the ones that came with me are sentimentalβ€”I had to pick and choose, and they were irreplaceable to me for one reason or another!

Okay so if I’m picking just one, I’ll pick my Rose of Sharon. The parent plant had been given to my mom by a good friend of hers, many years ago. It put out a lot of seeds that tended to sprout all over the corner of the yard where it was planted. Anyway, when I moved, I didn’t realize that one of those seeds had landed in one of the plants I was taking with me. That summer, it just sprouted up on its own!

A couple years later, my mom moved out here as well, but of course she couldn’t move the enormous mother plant. She missed having it though, and regretted having to leave it, but because of my plant (dubbed β€œStowaway”), she can still enjoy it! I’ve moved Stowaway to her house, and I just take care of it there πŸ˜„

@PlantEsteem yes it was the only plant she had for a long time… now I have her into succulents and Greg… every day she texts me and asks me if my farming is done lol πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š
@PlantEsteem oh I forgot to mention that she just cut a bunch of leaves off the African violet to propagate!🌸🌸🌸
