Yellow Spots

Hey there #GregGang ☺️

I just got this #AlocasiaStingray from #BrosWithHoes and one of the leaves has yellow spots on it. What could it be and should I worry?

Also super sad because 3 of the stems were broken when I got it 😭🥲

Any care tips would also be amazing! This is my first #Alocasia ☺️. I love marine life so I couldn’t resist a stingray

I could be wrong but it looks fungal… perhaps fungal rust spots or something similar. Can we see a pic of the spots closer up maybe?
@hoyahead that’s what I was worried about 😞 It’s just the one leaf
Oh no! I was thinking of ordering from them. Was this your first time? The leaves do look fungal suspicious
@idkstephs it is my first time ☹️ I got this and a mystery plant (which ended up being a Swiss cheese vine). That one looks ok from what I can tell, but now I’m worried 😭
@TattedHibiscus ugh that's a horrible first experience! I'm so sorry! Hopefully the swiss plant is ok! And hopefully you can get a full refund for the stingray!!
Booo for fungus. Isolate. Snip the infected. Use fungicide or neem oil.
Oh no! I ordered one, too, and it arrived in perfect condition. It’s even put out a new leaf since I got it a couple weeks ago. I wonder if you could contact them?
@TattedHibiscus I would use Neem Oil every 7 days and isolate your plant.
@Ehlane I was super excited too! 😭 I contacted them and sent pictures. I’m basically down to 1 leaf after taking off the broken ones and then there’s the specked
@KikiGoldblatt if I snip this leaf, I’ll have 1 leaf left. Should I just do that and neem oil that guy?
