This is what I’m talking about I’m new to the canna lily
It could be overwatering or underwatering or pests. Check all over the plant for any webbing (spider mites) white fuzzy spots (mealy bugs) little white flies, or aphids. Typically the tendency is to overwater our plants. Make sure the soil isn’t staying too damp. Check with a moisture meter if you can get one. The probe can let you know what’s going on further down in the pot than you can tell with just sticking your finger in the soil. There is an issue of humidity. Canna’s like it humid so not near air conditioning or a heater. If you live in a dry area you could get a humidifier. Brown edges can be due to salt buildup from tap water or fertilizer. Once a month water deeply to flush out the salts. Here’s a nice article on Canna’s. It addresses issues in the low desert areas but good advice in general anyway. Also I’m not sure yours will get enough light to bloom in a north window. Do you have an east facing window? https://garden.org/frogs/view/20197/
