Is@it bad if one of the spikes comes out?

#Mammillaria
0ft to light, indirect
3” pot without drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
No cati lose spikes all the time, it’s part of their defense mechanism against predators. Also that purple flower on it is fake and glued on, you might want to remove it or you could let it grow out it’s up to you.
What will I need to remove the purple flower part
@AnewCapealoe68 You can pull it off; you won’t hurt the cati, especially this one. They’re pretty sturdy

@AnewCapealoe68 a sharp sterile knife or scissors! They’re usually superglued on top to make it easier for people to repot them!
It has already been damaged what will I do now?
@AnewCapealoe68 Do not worry. Now that the flower has been removed from its growth point, the damage will grow out, and the cati will heal; trust me, they are sturdy. I've grown and saved many.

Their only weakness is overwatering, so don't water it frequently; place it in full sun, and it will be happy.
@AnewCapealoe68 it is a good thing to remove the fake flower, as it might cause problems for the cacti's growth. It will be fine and the wounds callus over, but it will probably leave a scar just so you know. It will outgrow the damage with time.🌡
