How do I save this plant?

Just brought this plant home as it seemed to be doing poorly in the dry air but, I have no idea what is wrong with it! It was originally in moss but, it was making the bottom get squishy & black so I am wondering what would be better? Is this overwatered or underwatered? It also looks like it might be making little pups am I right about that? #WhatsWrongWithMyPlant #AirPlant
2ft to light, indirect
2” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
If the base of your air plant looks brown or black and feels overly soft/mushy to the touch, it might be the victim of overwatering. Also, overwatered air plants will start to lose some leaves and could start to fall apart from the center, and this will likely succumb to rot.

Mine fell apart unfortunately, when it looked like that. You may need to look for a new one. So sorry.ðŸ˜Ģ
