Pruning/trimming

I’ve got a tiger tooth aloe that is growing out quite a bit. It’s got about six inches already, but I’m wondering how to prune/trim it. Do I just cut it in half and replant the top part? I’m nervous to do that because I don’t want to kill it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

From what I can tell, it’s looking amazing and doing its thing. If you feel you need to trim it, you can. Just a sharp, clean blade should do the trick. And as with any cacti or succulent, let it callous over before trying to root it - or you risk rot.
@snowtrooper thanks a bunch!
