Is this really a snake plant?
I bought a snake plant last week and I have this plant and they do not look alike but Greg has added this one as one and I’m not quite sure… does anyone know what kind it is? #SnakePlant #ValCasOasis
6ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage

@GiftedRainbow thank you so much! This is what the other one looks like so I thought it definitely looked different 😄
@Sassylimey thank you so much! My other one looks much darker and bigger leaves so I was not so sure! 😆
@GiftedRainbow one more question, do you believe it would help it grow more if I separated them?
@ValeriaJ haha! That’s closer to what mine look like as well but it looks like yours is still growing but is out of space to spread. When’s the last time you repotted it?
@GiftedRainbow I’ve never repotted it since I bought it! I found it on the clearance section at Kroger haha but I think I will this weekend if it’ll help it!
@ValeriaJ you could separate them or repot them . I haven’t separated mine and they are still growing fine. It’s whichever you prefer honestly.
@GiftedRainbow yours are beautiful too! I want mine to grow tall so I think I’ll give them more space! Thank you so much for your help! 😊
@ValeriaJ glad I could help! I look forward to seeing how they change as they grow.
@GiftedRainbow I will definitely update!
@ValeriaJ it’s a beautiful Sansevieria very stunning 😍
@ValeriaJ They do like to be crowded, I’d unless there are roots coming out of the bottom wait! Here’s a picture of my Moonshine Sansevieria (just as a comparison)
@Ms.Persnickety she’s a beauty!! Thank you for the tip! I’m going to wait until the weekend to check the roots but I’m excited to see it grow as tall as the others!
@ValeriaJ Before you repot it, do a bit more research. There are some types of Sansevierias that do not grow particularly tall Check out the Sansevieria Samurai as an example!
@Ms.Persnickety ohh that would also make sense! Specially because it doesn’t look like the regular snake plants you see here all of the time but I’m definitely going to look it up!
@ValeriaJ I have 7 Sansevierias and 2 on the way, and they all look a little different Here is my favorite The Starfish Sansevieria
Woah! I love how it looks!!! 😍
I’ve only been a plant mom for a year so I’m still trying to learn and find the best ways to care for all of them, I feel like I have all different species but I’ll be honest.. I have killed most of my succulents 😅 but everything else is doing super well! Thank goodness 😆

@ValeriaJ I think you’ll be just fine, the beginning it’s like a trail and error situation. Just remember to be patient. I too killed my share of succulents in the beginning but with this App, I either sooze them or only give them half of the recommended amount of water, if the soil is dry, so far fingers crossed 🤞
