@KeenOakmoss83 Hello, a golden barrel cactus turning brown usually indicates a problem with overwatering, which can lead to root rot.
Being a native to harsh deserts, they can go literal YEARS without water and survive. Greg keeps telling me to water mine twice a month and, well, I know better ๐ They want low to no humidity, a full day of sun, and about as much water as you can expect in the desert. I give mine a root soak every 6 months to simulate the monsoon season and otherwise just let him sunbathe in peace.
