When life gives you lemons...

... you wonder if you are taking care of them well

Hi community πŸ‘‹
Can someone tell me if my tree is still alive?
It's very spiky and whenever I touch it, it breaks (not flexible at all) πŸ¦”
Earlier I cut some branches to give it form and it still gave this lemon smell πŸ‹

@HunkyStrapwort it still looks alive but needs some help. I don’t think it’s getting enough light. Additionally having it in that corner does not allow for good air circulation which is drying out your leaves and making them brittle. Move the plant to a place with bright indirect light. Try moving it to a south or east facing window if possible. I have mine outside on my porch which faces east. She’s under an awning but gets morning sun and she’s super green. It is also important to water consistently. They don’t like to be soggy but don’t let them get too dry. I water my plant 1 cup of water every 7 to 10 days.
@Shells_Garden thanks for yar answer!
I can't place it by my east window since there is not enough space left for it, so I was wondering if I could place it outside although direct morning sun it's going to touch it.
As per yar description of yours, I think I'm going to follow that thought and see if it gets better 🀞
@HunkyStrapwort I’ve had mine outside since I got it so I think you plant will be fine outside as long as it doesn’t get all day direct sun. I get early morning east direct sun but only for 2-3 hours and the sun is not blazing hot. By 10 am, the sun is moving toward the back of the house.
