Does it hurt to move anthurium location daily closer to a...

8ft to light, indirect

Sounds good. IME anthurium can surprisingly handle even direct noon/afternoon sun with a bit of adjustment. My gran has one that gets sun from 1-3/4 in the afternoon, and my Anthurium crystallinum handled the sun better than my Monstera [dried dramatically] and Philo [went limp], heck even the mature Alocasia [did both]. Of course not recommended, but if you wanna do direct make sure there's some shade over it. You'll notice some die off and reddening leaves, but after a while it'll grow back strong, busht and compact.
