Appeared on the plant such diseases, who knows what it is...
@SinewyLuckycoin ZZβs donβt like direct light as I found out the hard way with leaves that looked similar to yours. Though it stopped after I moved it as itβs a lowlight plant. So I may be wrong but it does look sunburnt. Looking at the info in your oasis this is a plant that needs great drainage. If youβve ever had a snake plant they have similar needs. So youβre definitely going to want to check the roots out also wet feet are a no no for these guys.
Oh no! First I will let you know that you REALLY need a pot with drainage for a zz plant. You also need a smaller pot and a different soil. Your is holding way too much water and needs something chonky, a succulent soil. To me it looks like βrustβ fungus from your plant holding to much water. It can also be caused by misting your plants. πͺ΄
Never mist, I donβt know if you are, but I need to say it. Because misting causes these sorts of issues.
Now you can treat it with a fungicide. Or the cheap way with peroxide mix 1 part peroxide with 8 parts water and mist your plant. You will need to treat the pot and soil as well you can flush it out wil 1 part peroxide + 3 parts water.
The best option is to repot into a smaller pot with drainage using a chonky mix of soil a succulent or even cactus soil but make sure it has about 50% aeration, minimum. This could be perlite, bark, pumice etc.
Never water unless the soil is completely dry. If in doubt wait a few days longer before watering. I only water mine every 5-6 weeks. They have rhizomes under the soil that hold extra water. π¦
Hereβs mine that is rarely water.
Low light does not mean no light. They can tolerate lower light but will not thrive.
If itβs not thriving then itβs not going to grow well so it will need even less water.
To have it be happy it will need 12 hours a day of light. I use grow lights. Yours is in indirect light so we know itβs not sunburn.
