Is that an orchid? Most orchids need a special medium because their roots MUST breathe. If you are seeing yellowing leaves, it might be because the roots are suffering which will cause the leaves to yellow.

Here are a few of my orchids. The roots must have air and must be able to dry out.

There's also orchid mix; it's very chunky.

I had this repotted at my local orchard shop2 weeks ago so the soil medium I would hope is correct
