I have been treating my plant for red spider mites with d...
@strawberrymoon I have not tried insecticidal soap yet. I have found that since using neem oil the leaves have been dropping significantly less. Should I keep up with the neem oil once a week or try the insecticidal soap for a change?
@SnazzyComet i think if you want to have faster results go for the insecticidal soap, but if you donโt mind waiting a while longer you can keep using neem :)
@SnazzyComet Spider mites are first treated by pruning infested areas before spraying the leaves with neem oil diluted in water. Thatโs the only way I know.
@SnazzyComet Use Soap Spray to Kill Spider Mites on Plants
Mix 1 teaspoon of soap with 1 quart (1 l) of lukewarm water and shake well. Use the spider mite spray liberally on the plant leaves until all the mites are gone. You could dip a sponge in the soap solution and wipe down the plant to remove and kill spider mites.

@strawberrymoon thanks, I will try insecticidal soap as another poster also suggested using it. Thank you for your help! Hopefully I can get this plant back to good health to start flowering again :)
@SnazzyComet please keep us posted.
@KikisOasis thanks, I will try insecticidal soap for quicker results. I think Iโll try and avoid pruning at this stage as I have found spider mites at the trunk, and they seem quite dispersed and working alone rather than in clusters. Thanks again for your help and for the insecticidal soap recipe!
