What to use for pruning?
New to trying to keep my alive!! I just recently bought some plants that I’m determined to keep alive and growing but I’m not sure what to for a lot of it. Someone said I should prune my plant that was browning. Does that mean just cutting off the brown leaf or also from the stem? And are there any specific tools I should to prune them? I just used regular scissors on the brown leaf 🤦🏻‍♀️
Scissors will work, as long as they are clean. Try to have a dedicated pair that you use only for plants and clean them from time to time using rubbing alcohol. Pruning dead leaves from your plants is fine, just don’t get overzealous and start giving them complete make overs lol
Along with what @JuicyDelight, make sure they’re sharp as well! You don’t want to make a messy cut so you don’t mess any growth and scar the stem.

I use these and they’re currently on sale on Amazon! I use them specifically for my plants and I make sure to sterilize them before every single use!

Scissors work for plants like pothos and such but some need little shears. They blades are a little sharper and smaller letting your get into smaller spaces and making a clean cut
