My plant is slowly dying.

I'm new to indoor plants, but I got this plant from Amazon on 9/22. It has slowly been going downhill. I water it when recommended, it has overhead fluorescent lights and a grow light 8 hours a day Monday through Friday, and grow light only 8 hours a day Saturday and Sunday.
20ft to light, indirect
3โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 3 months ago
The progression
What she is doing is pretty normal when they are brought into a new environment. The shock causes them to drop the leaves while they adapt.

The lower humidity can cause it while adjusting as well as the light, temperature and light changes.

These are all big deals for plants. And it takes them around 3 weeks to start putting out new growth.

Yours is tiny without a big root system so it can take longer.

That new leaf on top looks really good. That's a great sign that her adaptation period is starting to come to a close.

The best thing right now is to continue her care, and don't panic and move her or repot her. Each time she is moved delays the process and add to the shock recovery time.

That's the hard part, embracing the process because we want them to look perfect. But sometimes they look worse before that happens.

Just make sure her soil doesn't go totally dry. And don't keep her wet either. Just moist.

The one thing you can do to help her recover faster is cover the pot with a transparent cover like a mason jar, clear plastic cup, ziplock bag or whatever you have.

The enclosed environment gives them a very stable environment and can speed the process up.

If you do that make sure you slowly allow her to adapt to the room conditions.
You will want to uncover her slowly.

Day 1&2 2 hours out
Day 3&4 4 hours out
Etc.

You don't have to do that though unless you want to. She is already 3 weeks into her transition so should be bouncing back with fresh new growth very soon.

But I did want to share that tip with you for future plants.
