My BOP needs help

My BOP is getting these spots in her leaves and they are breaking very easily. Looks like it was burned but she does not get direct sun - could it be overwatering? She was repotted a few weeks ago, the old pot was very small and her roots were all tangled, but the leaves have been like this for a while… #BirdOfParadise
2ft to light, indirect

Might be some fungal infection from pests, outside factors, insects etc. Fungal infections can also come from overwatering mind you, so if you are than you might want to make sure the roots aren't rotted and fix your watering schedule, making sure the soil dries at most halfway before watering
@Araceae thank you so much! What advice would you give me to treat and prevent the fungal infection? 😊
@Plantmia it looks like overwatering to me. If you look at the big dark spot you’ll also see how it’s warping a bit. Mine did that when it died because I overwatered it when I repotted it. I didn’t know it’s always good to wait a few days before watering it after a repot. You also want to make sure the new dirt is moistened before you pot as it’ll expand a bit then eventually suffocate the roots because there’s not enough airflow to dry it out. I think the warping may be from the cells rupturing from too much water and when that happens the structure is disturbed so you get the warping. With mine I’ve learned that they’re too dry when the leaves curl, and the tips get crispy brown
@Petite_Eureka Thank you so much, Erika. That’s likely the issue, since I repotted it and watered the plant on the same day…
