The leaves are turning brown & falling off easily. Why?

#FiddleLeafFig
6ft to light, indirect
14” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
@UniqueFrogbit89 Oftentimes this will happen with fiddle leaf figs when they are in low light, or what they think of as low light. Going off your info card, 6ft away from and indirect light is not enough for a FLF. They want LOTS. If you do have a brighter location, gradually move it there, over a period of at least a couple weeks, to acclimate it. If you move it too quickly it can sunburn, but seeing as you’re in San Fran, that probably won’t be the case 😜 After moving it you might still see black and brown splotches and leaf drop, just remember that plants move a lot slower than us, so it might take your FLF a little while to respond to the change 🩢🌿
@DreamMachine Yes, that was my experience. It saved my FLF doing what you recommended.
@HipAnahaw34 awesome, I’m so happy to hear that!! 🩢🌿
