Bought this plant a couple of days ago and the soil was very dry. I watered it and it seemed fine, but today I noticed some of the leaves cracking. Anyone knows how to help with this?

Mechanical damage, incorrect placement, insufficient root systems, and a short temperature range contribute to splitting Pilea leaves. Also, dry roots, excessive moisture, and fertilizers all can contribute to cracks on Chinese Money Plant leaves. Maintain a humidity level of at least 50% and a temperature range of 60 to 75 degrees. You donβt need to do a lot of heavy watering with these clever plants because they store water in their leaves. However, the fact that they donβt begin to show signs of thirst until the situation is dire makes it easy to forget to water them at all.
@sarahsalith Ahh! That makes so much more sense! Thank you!
