What is this?! Found on one of my leaves… honestly scared...

#MarbleQueenPothos
4ft to light, direct
8” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 day ago
Hey Casey! That looks like a fungal or mold growth on your Marble Queen Pothos leaf. It might have developed due to excess moisture on the leaves. I would suggest carefully removing the affected leaf and making sure your plant has proper airflow. Avoid misting the leaves and water the soil directly instead. Keep an eye on the plant to ensure the issue doesn’t spread.
Honestly no idea, I’m both horrified to know and intrigued. Can you wipe it off with some alcohol on a cotton pad?
@SnailDiva thank you! I definitely do mist it a lot (probably every three days or so). I will stop that for sure. It looks like a spore print but I am assuming that is not a good thing
@Cjpeters26 I had something similar on one of my Peperomia and it was just a one time occurrence so hopefully it is the same for you. I personally made sure to add extra ventilation in my green house.
@Cjpeters26 Hi Casey, you could look at spraying a natural anti fungicide like neem oil on the leaf after wiping the leaf with alcohol. I would recommend #WetheWild Protect Spray. It looks like it is also on other parts of the leaf so you could look to wipe them all down and We The Wild does have a pack with gloves.
You may want to check your humidity in that air and just as required however spraying or wiping the leaf with neem oil r similar should removed the likely mold/fungal growth on your plant.

Thank you everyone! It wiped off nicely- I’ve been misting it to give it some humidity as it’s been a bit dry here lately. I think the mist is causing too much moisture leading to fungal build up and even my soil is looking slightly powdery due to the moisture so I’m going to give her a good watering and stop misting! πŸ˜…
Looks like a spore to me too.
