You should water succulents when, and only when their soil is COMPLETELY bone dry! You can test it by trying to lift the plant out (if it’s dry, it’ll all lift out) or if you can poke your finger into it, feel it that way. Many succulents don’t need water for 2-4 weeks depending on the size of pot and how good of a root system they have. Some succulents will even show they’re thirsty by having slightly wrinkly leaves or by looking less full.

Make sure the pot has drain holes and the soil is made for succulents so that water can be drained out easily when you do need to water it. Bottom watering is good for these guys to avoid sitting water on the leaves (this can cause mold and/or rot). When you water it, water it deeply until it starts dripping out of the drain holes and give it a gentle shake or tilt to be sure there’s no excess water in the bottom! 🌱
