First thing, if you just got Robbie he might be adjusting to your home, and a few leaves may fall while he is figuring it all out.
But yes he might need a longer duration of light (a little of direct and a lot of indirect).
My first rubber plant did the same thing and I panicked. I bought my very first grow light just for her and she is thriving!! During the summer I got at least 1-2 leaves every week. Well worth the effort.
I also had to get her some additional humidity too, but mostly because it’s so incredibly dry where I am.
I also learned that she was sitting in water (unintentionally) because my decorative pot didn’t have any drainage. I piled up a ton of LECA at the bottom of the decorative pot so she wasn’t sitting in any of the excess water after watering. She seems pretty happy now!
