How do you know the leaves are okay and healthy?
4ft to light, indirect
8โ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
@AceQuivertree Hey, if the leaves are not broken, browning, yellowing or otherwise discolored or damaged, then they should be healthy! Broken/ scabbed leaves could be from past injury/ trama and don't necessarily indicate a sickness. Yellowing leaves tend to be caused by either overwatering or too much direct sun. Browning edges of leaves could be under watering, and brown blotches could be fungus. Generally if the leaves don't have these issues or otherwise look strange, they are usually just fine! If you do notice a specific part of the plant that looks different, you can ask a question here with a picture of it, and the greg community can help you figure out what's going on, or you can Google the specific thing you see on the leaves and see what information the internet has on what might be causing it. From the picture I can see of your plant, it looks generally healthy. Hope that helps! :)
@AceQuivertree Hey, it looks like those could have a form of bacterial rot.
This can be helped by ensuring the plant doesn't have too much humidity, that it's pot has great drainage and it's planted in well draining soil. Using fungicides that are safe for succulents can also help prevent and treat this issue.
Removing the affected leaves/stems is the best bet! It's good that you took the ones in the picture off already. Be sure to inspect the whole plant carefully and take off any affected portions so that it can't continue to spread.
Also putting it in a bit more light should help.
