How long typically

#MarbleQueenPothos does it take pothos to grow? I got a huuuuuge pot of these and split it between 5 different pots to have smaller plants.
0ft to light, indirect
5” pot with drainage
Last watered 6 days ago
They’re quick growers! Were they all well rooted when you split them up? If so, you should be good to go! I got a small cutting from a friend a month ago, put it in water and it rooted SOOOOO quick. Now it’s thriving in soil.
@kris10plants yes they were definitely well rooted! Some more than others- but all good there and no rot.
Theyre typically fast growers, easy to care for and handle. Basically just dont overwater and u’ll be lifelong friends! They all have their own personalities & features tho. Some trail (like my jade & golden), some bush up (like my silver & jade) & some totally surprise u (like my micans), it looks totally different each day & u never know what shes gonna do! There r other types, all known by various names, some called philodendrones, just pick one or all u like, call ’em whatever u want & settle in to enjoy them!!! Btw, very smart move to split among 5 pots as u will soon find that ur soon looking for larger pots for each all over again!! Remember tho, only go up 1-2β€œ when u repot and either wait for a yr or when the plant doubles in size before u do. Please dont think u will save time & energy by just going much larger to cut down the sizes in between. Ur plants like to be snug in their surroundings, besides ur essentially watering the root ball which is the essence of the plant, not whats above the soil. All ur doing if u repot to a size larger than needed is watering soil so it can swim and all that’ll get u is root rot. Trust me on that one!! This and overwarering r the most common ways to harm or even kill plants! U would thinl it would be an infestation, which trust me again, u DO need to address & watch for; those issues r easy to minimize just by where and how u treat ur plants (the most important of these is quarantining new plants for about 4 weeks when they first arrive home. One last suggestiom, if u purchase a blooming plant & when u get it home r thrilled that u have already gotten a bloom, or more than one; do urself a favor and cut them off, discard & know u will have more. Once again, trust me, i know this as well personally. U will make some mistakes but most r correctable and thats y we r all here for u! The best people to advise u r those who have made the most mistakes (& MOST importantly, have learned from them). Thats y we call ourselves ’plant parents’ and consider Greg to be ur personal parenting class!! In that vein, i offer myself as the perfect example to assist in most issues u come across. I dont speak from hubris, merely experience at making every mistake in the book! My only claim to fame is i tend to only make each one once! Good luck, have fun & enjoy ur plants!! They can bring u much happiness & Greg can be a wonderful place to learn, get tips & become part of a community of commonality. U can also make some wonderful friends here & learn more than just plant care. We r from everywhere & u can learn much about the world; as long as u listen & not merely ’hear’ whats said to u. I know this was wayyyy over TMI but u caught me on a vulnerable day & a particular loquatious mood. I jope u find something to take from it all. Feel free to disregard the rest; as long as u get something, thats everything!!! Good luck my friend!! Dont stop w the easy plants, use them to build ur confidence & reach for plants u thought were beyond ur shade of green thumb u just may surprise urself (& really feel good about what u create & r a part of the eco-system (no hyperbole!! 🫢πŸͺ΄πŸŒΏβœŒοΈ
