Webby soil
So since I started my journey as a plant mom I’ve had this problem. My plants are thriving for the most part but it seems like there a white filmy webs in their soil, is this something I should worry abt? I’ve been using neem oil in case they are unwanted pest but they still remain. Can someone tell me what this is and how to fix it? #plantmom

This just looks like mold to me, which is normal and harmless, although I don’t like the look of it myself either! Best tips I have are to scrape off the moldy soil, let the plant dry out real good (which usually kills the mold because it doesn’t have water to grow) and sprinkle the top layer of the soil with some cinnamon before the next water! Should do the trick and keep mold from coming back. 😁
Neem oil can sometimes create a film on top of the soil too, which is harmless as well!
@NewGrowth Thank you!!! I didn’t even think of it being mold.
You are a fountain of knowledge lol.
