My orchid has lost all its buds what have I done wrong ?

Just double-checking because the tagged plant picture has flowers, did it lose those flowers, or is this a new set that was growing but the buds died before opening?
Orchids can go through bud blast, which leads to the wilting of buds before theyβve opened. It can be cause by sudden changes in their environment, including under or over watering. My orchid has this happen when I delayed a week watering it.
If weβre talking flowers, then Phalaenopsis Orchid flowers typically last 3-4 months, then die. New flowers will grow once the plant grows a new flower spike.

Is that the pot you bought it in? If so, they wonβt survive they need to be repotted based on the varietal needs, best way to describe the store pots for orchids is itβs like their cars, only good for transporting from the store to home then they need their own real space. Iβve saved quite a few clearance βorphansβ from big box stores and the first thing I do is get them outta those death traps! lol good luck!
@Lynsplants thanks for this advice. I just recently lost one of my orchids due to neglect and being in βcarβ pot for two years. Havenβt given up on it. Still see a little bit of green atthe base, but all the leaves are gone οΏΌ
