Hey Heidi! If your looking to get a fuller look, just pinch back the flowers (meaning just snip the flower part off) it’ll focus your plant to produce double the blooms! It’s pretty much the same with all the flowering outdoor plants. I did it a few years ago with my moms hydrangeas, and before Summer was out it gave us double the flowers. Just snip the flower not the stem.
For million bells, wait until the flower dries out or starts to turn brown. Then pull on the flower and it comes right out. If there is resistance it’s not ready yet. No cutting needed😊

Pro tip: If you wait until the soil is super dry, you can literally shake the entire plant and they will fall off too.
I go out every couple days and pull the browning, droopy ones off my plant.
