It’s Bernie the Flapjack, here again w a minor succulent issue🥺
So, if you remember in a post, i think a month ago, Bernie was stuck in a “death net”, basically. So I took that off of him. But now 🤦🏽‍♀️ My boy feels like he’s stuck in something even harder that I can’t just easily pick off of him w my fingers. He is THRIVING (‼️) as we see, but my finger, in one of the pictures, is showing you how it’s sitting on top of the soil, while that hard THING that’s wrapped around him is pushing him up. & are those his roots??😭🥺 What do I need to do to get rid of this death trap, if it is one? I want the best for my little flapjack🥺💕✌🏽 #SucculentSquad #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewGrowth

If worse comes to worse, get a bamboo skewer, shake the dirt off, gently pry any stuck dirt away. Even rinse the roots off if you think it may help. I have read that it’s okay to ‘explore’ your plant so you know how it grows and what’s what. But a bebé is great!!
honestly if he’s doing well i wouldn’t change anything! if you’re talking about the thick white things it looks like his roots- sucs have very thick roots lol.
@strawberrymoon it’s just something hard that the roots are just stuck on… but I don’t want to manipulate anything. Especially since it’s growing another set of flapjacks🥺
@PeacefulBohoBby maybe you could try digging a bit around the thing and gently pulling on it? if it can’t be pulled off i’d leave it be, wouldn’t want to damage his roots
@strawberrymoon Okay. Then that’s what I’m going to do😭 I thought it might’ve been another death trap to it’s roots or something 🤦🏽‍♀️ Thank you sm😭💕
@PeacefulBohoBby np!! just keep an eye on him, if he starts deteriorating again then you can consider cutting off the stuff on his roots. all the best, he’s a cute little guy <3
I agree w/ @strawberrymoon he looks great! And he's popping a new baby!! They seem like roots to me 🤷‍♀️ maybe you could just top him off with a little more soil so it's covered. But he really does look good! 💚👍
@Yeeha234 Thank you, because that’s exactly what ima do! I have a bamboo skewer, & I think that would be best instead of using my fingers or gloves fingers!❤️
@PeacefulBohoBby Yes!! I will wear gloves if the petals are delicate
