Accidental Palm Mom - Send Help!
So, I 100% bought this plant just for the pot, but now Iβm determined to keep it alive because my husband loves how it looksβand letβs be real, I need him on board with my plant addiction.
Iβve never had a palm before, so I have no clue what Iβm doing.
Do I water it? Ignore it? Whisper words of affirmation? Send help (and tips) please!

Parlor palms are happy in a well draining soil but they bennefit from organic matter.
So a light potting soil blended with some good compost perlite and coarse sand.
I use a kalix 0/50/30 fertilizer initially in a targeted feed water to really give the roots a boost following a repotting.
Once the plant recovers I hit it with a nitrogen slow release and that really helps push New growth.
Keep the soil most but not wet good light is always a good idea with these guys. They like humidity as well so a pebble tray isn't a bad idea
And finally get a spray bottle and mist the leaves once a week with a distilled water and chelated iron + copper and magnesium solution.
The leaves will love it and keep a healthy green

@Plantkiller101 Welcome to the Greg community! What a Parlor Palm needs: Water thoroughly when the top few centimeters of soil are dry.
Water more frequently in warmer weather, but allow the soil to dry out between waterings.
Water less frequently in the winter.
Overwatering can cause root rot and brown leaf tips.
Underwatered plants may have yellowing tips that turn brown. Place in bright, indirect light.
Avoid intense, direct sun.
Low light conditions can cause brown leaves.
Humidity
Try to keep humidity levels around 50% or higher.
Mist the leaves regularly.
Low humidity can cause brown leaf tips.
Temperature
Place in a warm area with temperatures between 65Β°Fβ75Β°F, or up to 85Β°F.
Temperatures below 10Β°C can harm the plant.
Fertilizing
Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).
Over-fertilizing can cause browning leaves.
Pests and diseases
Parlor palms are susceptible to pests like aphids, mealy bugs, scale, and whitefly.
Fungal leaf spots and root rot can occur from overwatering. This website has some care tips: https://www.patchplants.com/gb/en/read/plant-care/complete-guide-to-parlour-palm-care/ Happy Growing!

The parlor palm is a slow growing easy to manage plant. It does well in succulent soil mix, or any potting mix that is well draining. This plant is a slow grower. It requires a 10 10 10 fertilizer mix. I make this by mixing my 20-20-20 fertilizer if Iβm gonna to use 1 cup of water to water the plant 1/2 cup 20~20~20 fertilizer and the other 1/2 is water and that equals 1 cup. If you can succulents fertilizer.οΏΌπππ
