I'm somewhat new to this type of succulent, and may have ...

Either you are using wrong substrate to grow the plant or the plant wasn't receiving enough lights.
It looks over watered to me . If you have a terracotta planter and succulent soil (mentioned above) you should cut it back let it dry out completely before watering each time it should grow new foliage in a couple weeks. Be sure to bottom water also the plant will onlyy what it needs. If it’s not if you’re cash strapped try doing same thing I mentioned and change it over when you can. Good luck
I did have it away from the light for a few weeks/months thinking the browning on the very outer part of the leaves were bad. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ
@tmessy Definitely use Terra cotta. I planted one of my plants in glazed ceramic and come to find out that (even though I watered sparingly) the middle of the pot was staying moist while the substrate on the outer portion was the only portion that was actually dry. So the type of pot definitely matters.
@ILoveMyPlants I repotted it and you were right. Moisture stayed in the mid substrate. No roots left, not sure if it will grow new roots. Thank you for taking the time to give your advice.
