When to repot a new addition?

I just adopted an Aloe today, but Iโ€™m not sure when I should transfer the pot. Any suggestions? ๐Ÿ˜Š #HappyPlants #SucculentSquad #AloeVera

Whenever I get a new plant I would either wait a few hours or a day ๐Ÿ˜ but Iโ€™m not so sure if aloes work the same as Echeverias ๐Ÿ˜‚
Iโ€™d wait a few days. Two at minimum. I always treat the plant to a bath and a soil cleanse to kick off its quarantine spa time, then Iโ€™ll re-pot it to make sure disease isnโ€™t rampant in the new medium. Two days is a long time for them and for pests. Itโ€™s why we can go to bed and everything is fine then wake up the next day with a world of nuisance pests all over our babies. Pests and plant diseases donโ€™t use time the way we do.
@AnthuriumQueen what exactly do you mean by bath and soil cleanse? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
@Some_rando when I got my first succulents I was too excited and just repotted them as soon as I got home. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Bath: Your plants need a monthly bath. Take a tablespoon of Castile soap and water in a spray bottle, spray the plant foliage and stems. Let sit a minute. Spray off with water. Move plant to a shaded area and allow it to dry off.

Soil cleanse: Water, Castile soap and hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle. Spritz it into the soil. Wait five minutes. Water it in. Tip the pot to let excess water drain out. If the plant is drenched in water and you feel like you risk the health of the plant by adding more water and you donโ€™t want potential issues, just spray the mixture into the soil and do not water thoroughly.

The bath happens the same day it comes home. The soil cleanse can be done within the first two days. The bath needs to Happen once a month to cleanse all dust particles off the plant foliage and imitate a natural rainfall.
@AnthuriumQueen thank you so much!
