new plant, care tips

Hi! I just received 4 pothos from Altman gardens, and I've had pothos before, but the growth is so slow. I have them up high so they can grow down, and because I get less sun now I bought a grow light for them so they get at least 12 hours of sun a day. The leaves on my existing ones fell off but didn't die, these new babies are so healthy and I'm afraid the same will happen. Any tips, advice?

Edit : ignore the photo. Photoshoot for all my 50+ plants coming this Sunday!

1. Are you fertilising them?
2. They look a little big for the pot have you checked if they need repotting?

My Golden Pathos is very close to the large humidifier and grow light and loves them both!
Also, good drainage is a must for all plants and never water them with tap water, which will kill a plant because of the toxic chemicals in it.
That's the mystery...humans can tolerate it but not plants!
@succuless for pothos they can go a little bit lower light, but you are going to want to make sure they have drainage. Without drainage you are going to be prone to root rot and/or fungus gnats. I let mine dry out almost completely before I water again but I think that it’s a preference of the plant parent. Some of mine tend to grow pretty quickly (jade, golden) and others REALLY slowly (pothos n joy, satin, manjula, snow queen, cebu blue).

Also...I see that you live in Pennsylvania.
As soon as you have your first heavy frost, you'll need to dim your grow lights from 12 hours to 8 hours.
This will give your plants the dormancy they need. Don't be surprised if they don't look so great...they really need this time to rest
Also...go lightly on the fertilizer during this period. The last thing we want to do is create stress by making them grow more!

No worries πŸ’–πŸŒΉπŸŒ»...
Beginning in Spring, they'll come back better than ever and you'll be astonished by how much they grow!!!!
