Are there too many in one pot?

Question

There are four sunflowers in this plastic pot. Some aren’t thriving as well as others. Should I try to report the back one or at least take it out from the rest? #CommonSunflower

Maybe give more light? I feel like sunflowers are a bit different when it comes to plants growing closer together

Sunflowers can grow really big and fast. I would only have one in a pot of this size.

Definitely too many. You’re going to need tweezers and a hose to do root division “surgery” eventually and space them apart wayyyyyy more for happy sunflower growth. Their root systems grow aggressively as they mature
