Tragedy with my poor string of buttons

Question

My string of buttons Rayquaza unfortunately was accidentally cut by one of my parents and I’m bummed out. How can I replant/ propogate the severed limb and is there anything i can do for the original plant?

It’s okay if a part gets cut off! The original plant should grow more where it got cut off! As for the part that got cut off, there is a way to get it to grow roots and plant it into a separate pot if you want another plant, but I’ve never done that before. You can try looking it up

@Clawffey The good news is, succulents like your string of buttons are generally super easy to propagate! Just take the leaves off the bottom inch or so off that cutting, let it callous over for a day or two, and stick it back in the pot 😊
