Should I be concerned?
I noticed two smaller yellow leaves with a brown tip. Didn’t know if I should be concerned or not? If so what should I do about it? #Monstera
2ft to light, direct
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 5 days ago
I’ve noticed the small leaves turning yellow on my monsteras. So I used the fertilizer mix the give away at a local nursery it’s pre mixed and they use it to water all their plants there. They let you take a gallon every day you go shop there. I used that and the yellow leaf problem went away. They seemed to need more nitrogen for the photosynthesis process. So any proper fertilizer mixed to proper strength should solve the problem
They are all doing good now. No more yellow leaves.
Make sure it’s getting adequate light and water. Smaller leaves and older leaves will eventually die
@SirLiquorice i have a same prob too! What should i do with that?
Smaller leaves tend to die off so the plant can grow bigger new leaves.
@Plantsy that actually makes a lot of sense. I had a couple of small leaves that went yellow overnight and was a bit worried, but I also have 2 new leaves that are almost ready to unfurl. It would definitely make sense that the newer bigger leaves would take priority.
