Browning spots on Monstera?

I’m sure this is very commonplace and has been asked but these spots have been there since the adoption of my Monstera. Any idea what they are and if they need to be treated, pruned, or left alone?

Hello! Have you taken the plant out and checked the roots to rule out root rot?
@elisenavidad I have not! She’s a big girl so haven’t wanted to try just yet but I definitely can; is there any other common signs of root rot visible from inside of the pot?

Still in a nursery pot with tons of drainage.
@FairBeakedrush unfortunately the only way to officially confirm root rot is to evaluate the roots..

You’ll want to remove any grey, mushy roots and spray the remaining good root with 3% hydrogen peroxide spray to help dry out the roots! Repot with well draining, chunky soil!
