Just got a cutting of this -
From my mom’s plant. Her plant is super leggy and needs to get pruned back. Never had one of these - put it in a pot and tried to stake it up. Should I prune it back so it grows straighter? Stake differently? Will be bringing to my office with a grow bulb. Any ideas? #Schefflera

I think it really depends on what you want it to look like long term.

If you want it to grow tall and straight I would put a tall stick-like stake in and tie her to it in a couple places, especially up top

I don't know much about this plant but if her trunk will thicken and get stiff in time then you probably do want to stake her straight. If the trunk will remain pliable over time then she can probably remain as she is and be a trailing plant
