What is the best size and kind of pot for this plant?

#CathedralWindows
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 month ago
It depends. What’s the size of the plant?
New, came in 4in pots; small
@AffluentPapaya well if it’s new, don’t repot it just yet. Unless the soil is awful and it’s dying. But i don’t think that’s the case. The pot it’s in now should do!
They can manage with a pretty tight pot. It will tell you if it gets too rootboundπŸ™ˆ Keep an eye out when many roots starts poking out of the bottom, then you can repot it into a slightly bigger pot.😊

Glazed clay or plastic is fine with these. Unglazed and teracotta might be too dry as they don't like to dry out, but if you manage to keep the soil moist (but not wet) most types of pots will do. But it definitly needs drainage, as they might quickly develop root-rot if kept too wetπŸ™ˆ
So it kind of depends on if you usually overwater or underwaterπŸ˜†

And if your plant-card is right, I would advise to move it out of direct sunlight, as their leaves burn easily😊 They usually grow on the jungle-floor in the shade of other plants πŸͺ΄
