White on my fairy washboard?

Question

My fairy washboard has some white residue on some of its leaves that doesn’t come off when rubbed. Is it something I need to cut off? Or will it go away with care?

Try to get a better pic if you can? Could be mealy bugs.. 
you say it’s residue…but they can also be a part of the plant, they usually get white bumps or dots as part of the plant.

Funnily enough one of mine had a little white dot on it too. It came off when I scratched at it. No idea what it was but it seemed harmless. Just a hard white dot of some sort (it def wasn’t bugs). 
 Btw, yes, I know mine is upset. It got sunburned and hasn’t forgiven me for the longest time
