What’s wrong with my prayer plantttt?

I’ve had this plant for months now, and she’s recently been going brown and yellow and losing leaves. Whyyy? What am I doing wrong?

Looks like the brown spots and yellowing both point to overwatering, which is the most common cause of brown spots. Check if the soil is consistently damp and allow it to dry out slightly between watering.
Be careful to look at the roots too because while the top of the soil may be dry the roots could still be very wet.
Also if you are using tapwater the brown spots could also be indicating impurities in the tapwater. Use distilled water instead.
@SelfmadeSalsify Yeah, see the problem is that I don’t overwater. If anything, I underwater. And I use only reverse osmosis water or spring water to water my plants.
Ok that's good. So you may want to look at temperature. Prayer plants thrive in warm, humid conditions, just like their native tropical environment, so monitoring the temperature fluctuations and humidity levels around your plant are crucial, too.
Finally, since its winter now, the spot you had her in during summer months may not be providing the light they need. They love bright, indirect light, so you may need to alter their location to ensure they are getting the light they need. Hope this helps you to diagnose what she needs to save your beautiful plant.
Are you feeding her any liquid fertilizer. All prayer plants are heavy feeders and require added nutrients. Liquid fertilizer is best, make sure it has NPK in it as it’s the required nutrients for healthy prayer plant

N- Nitrogen
P- Phosphorus
K- Potassium

Look for 10-10-10
Or 10-15-10

They really hate fluctuating temps so interior walls are best.

Grow light are here at for these
These plants are high maintenance. I’ve found that they only like filtered or distilled water to drink.
@SuperbRaspfern I don’t give any of my plants fertilizer. I don’t even know where to start to look for fertilizer. πŸ˜…

I also was thinking she may need a repot. But I’m a 17 year old with no money. People love getting me plants, but they don’t want to get me a bag of dirt. You know? It’s hard to come by. I’d imagine it’d be the same for fertilizer.
@KellyMM I don’t ever give any of my plants tap water.

It’s just weird that she was happy for the last 5 months I’ve had her, and now she’s getting unhappy. It sucks.
So, for you I’m going to share my phone #. Text me your address and I will have some shipped through Amazon to you. Please, I’m asking everybody do not start texting and calling. I just want to help this young woman out this once. If you feel uncomfortable with that I understand. I use Super Thrive Foilage Pro on my plants and it’s great and not too expensive. If you want I will get some shipped to you today.

@SuperbRaspfern Oh my gosh that would be amazing! Thank you so much!
You’re welcome, just my way of giving back.
You are amazing for that @SuperbRaspfern! πŸ’œ
Mine does hat every winter. I’m in Southeast Nebraska. I trim off the dead stuff and it grows back thicker.
