Why does my plant look like this

3ft to light, indirect

4β pot

Last watered 1 month ago
@LadySugarvine the pot inside the pot has drainage. And I make sure water isnβt left in the bottom. Iβm wondering if I should use fertilizer on it. It looks overwatered but I havenβt watered it in a week
@QuietAirpotato the time between watering isn't what to focus on but the status of soil when you do. Also, I make sure the indirect sun is reaching the base of the plant, not just the trailing part.
@QuietAirpotato yea .. i would set it beside the coffee maker
@QuietAirpotato I accidentally murdered my first pothos by fertilizing with miracle grow too strong in the water and didnβt water flush it the next day, burnt all the roots in a matter of days. I would pull it and check out roots. If theyβre mush cut them with clean sheers, wash all dirt off roots, peroxide spray and repot in new soil, smaller pot (if you end up losing a lot of roots). If you donβt lose a ton of roots same sized pot but really airy soil, like aroid mix
100% needs more sun and more water as well! In the winter we have the heat on and it dries them out faster than we realize sometimes. Also with it sitting up high like that makes it even closer to the heat. I would move it down to the light and check it every 3-5 days to see if the top 2β of soil is dry and give it a half cup or so of water if it is. It may need it twice a week. I would let it get almost dry before I watered it tho- I hope you had a great Christmas! Good Luck! π
@QuietAirpotato if you really have it in a pot thatβs none draining you need to change it to a draining pot. Me personally I would prune it. And pot the clippings.
