Why does my plant look like this

#GoldenPothos
3ft to light, indirect
4” pot
Last watered 1 month ago
Is it actually in a pot with no drainage? Looks like you just watered? Was it dry when you watered?
@LadySugarvine the pot inside the pot has drainage. And I make sure water isn’t left in the bottom. I’m wondering if I should use fertilizer on it. It looks overwatered but I haven’t watered it in a week
@QuietAirpotato the time between watering isn't what to focus on but the status of soil when you do. Also, I make sure the indirect sun is reaching the base of the plant, not just the trailing part.
@LadySugarvine yeah it sits up here. I don’t think it’s getting enough light :(
@QuietAirpotato yea .. i would set it beside the coffee maker
Mine does that when it's not getting enough water. I have a gp sitting in a corner that gets no sunlight whatsoever and it's been perfect for years so that's just weird
@QuietAirpotato I accidentally murdered my first pothos by fertilizing with miracle grow too strong in the water and didn’t water flush it the next day, burnt all the roots in a matter of days. I would pull it and check out roots. If they’re mush cut them with clean sheers, wash all dirt off roots, peroxide spray and repot in new soil, smaller pot (if you end up losing a lot of roots). If you don’t lose a ton of roots same sized pot but really airy soil, like aroid mix
100% needs more sun and more water as well! In the winter we have the heat on and it dries them out faster than we realize sometimes. Also with it sitting up high like that makes it even closer to the heat. I would move it down to the light and check it every 3-5 days to see if the top 2” of soil is dry and give it a half cup or so of water if it is. It may need it twice a week. I would let it get almost dry before I watered it tho- I hope you had a great Christmas! Good Luck! 😊
@QuietAirpotato if you really have it in a pot that’s none draining you need to change it to a draining pot. Me personally I would prune it. And pot the clippings.
Those pots tend to overwater that plant so that might be a cause… I would put it in a different plot once it’s all better!! Happy planting! 🌱🌱🌱
