Can violets live with suckers?

I believe this violet has a pretty big sucker on it. I didn’t realize before now. It had been struggling with root rot I think, but now it seems to be doing better and growing. However, it seems like there’s two spots with tiny leaves and bigger ones (but also, I’m not certain about that, can you tell based on the photos?). Does this matter? Like can I leave her as she is or will she struggle having a possible sucker attached? #KenyanViolet #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #Question

What is a sucker?
The suckers should be removed in my opinion because it really causes the mother plant to bloom… if they are big enough can be removed quite easily and propped in own pot… they drain needed nutrients as well from mom…. They are called suckers for a reason!!!!
@BlossomLady on African violets (not sure about other plants), I think a sucker is basically a second violet that starts growing off the main stem of the plant
@RulerTaromojito Oh I see, Thank you for your response!
@Hoyaobsessed that makes sense, thanks for the explanation! Do you think this one has a sucker with the leaves going in different directions and the two spots with tiny leaves? I couldn’t quite tell πŸ˜…
@RulerTaromojito yes! Very easy to remove !!! I use organic African violet soil for my suckers I do prop… if I notice my mother plant starting to try to form blooms I will go ahead and remove the suckers… if I don’t see any blooms forming I wait u til they get a decent size before I remove… but I will say once one is removed my mother plant usually does bloom soon after that !!
I'm still new to this...I thought tiny new leaves was normal growth. It's not? Now I am wondering if I have suckers too!
