Never seem to fix etiolation
How is the community dealing with the need to prevent sunburn with these guys, but giving it enough light to prevent legginess? My plant gets about 3 hours of direct sunlight through a window, and indirect light (<1ft away) the rest of the day. No dice.

That’s interesting!! I would definitely look up the light requirements when possible, and match them as best you can. Once a plant is leggy it won’t revert unless you chop the top, and on most plants you can prop the rest. I think some succulents are meant to grow tall though, so also look up pictures of mature specimens. 😊
tango has a point, maybe you should just embrace your tall buddy?
