So my VTF gets sunburnt soo easily and with the sun comin...

I’ve had it for almost a year and when I got it I very slowly introduced it to the full sun. It was good for a few months but then started to burn just by being in the shade. #VenusFlyTrap #CarnivorousPlants #cpclubthursday #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

Huh, usually these guys actually require tons of bright light. Was it turning red or was it becoming crispy, brown, wilted?
The insides of the heads never got super red, the leaves would get brown spots, the trap heads would shrink brown and crisp and I always make sure that it was water in its tray.
@VaultingOrchid was it growing any new ones while that was going on? Sometimes they will still burn even with a slow acclimation but those original traps will die off and new ones that can withstand the bright light will pop up and be fine. The acclimation should be very very slow and then of course making sure your soil is appropriate for them with no nutrients and then distilled/rain/or reverse osmosis water only when they need it in the tray.
Sorry it’s been so long but this is what happens after a little bit of sun and I suppose the heads grow slowly but the number of crisp heads to healthy are 13 to 5ish
