Why is my plant turning yellow?

#Dieffenbachia
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
@BrainyPincherry - Hello Nicole 😊

A dieffenbachia usually turns yellow because it’s overwatered, underwater, or too much light!
These guys are extremely picky and do not like any direct light!
It could also be the old leaves that turn yellow before falling off! If it’s on the bottom!!

I have 3 of them now! I only water when the top couple of inches is dry and it’s in very bright, but indirect light!

@JenniferNoel thank you
@BrainyPincherry - Absolutely πŸ‘πŸΌ Anytime 😊
Beautiful dumbcane plant yellowing happens as @JenniferNoel said overwatering or underwater or it’s about to get a new leaf and it’s making room so don’t be so hard on yourself it’s apart of the process of the plants life cycle just keep eye on it happy growing test soil with a moisture meter before watering even when app says because you may have to snooze until next watering
This just happened to mine and it lost all of its leaves so I’m not sure if it’s going to make it but mine was a rescue and may have already been doomed. Good luck to yours ✨
