Seriously bamboozled

#TigerToothAloe what is wrong with this plant hahaha, why doesnt it look like it used to full and green, now its just sad and brown😐
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 weeks ago
@stephonicle do you have a clue as to wth is going on hahah
Sorry, I'm not Stephonicle, but when was the last time you repoted this plant? Aloes consistently produce pups when they are pleased, and those pups will go on to produce pups. This means new roots fill the pot and crowd the plant quickly (if the pups aren't removed), leading to dehydration due to being very root-bound.

I'm not going to lie, it can be annoying because it feels like Aloes can't stay in the same pot for long, and you are always going to have to repot them into a bigger pot if you don't get the pups out, but if you do take out the pups, then you have too many Aloes and not enough pots and then again those pups will make pups will make pups, and then it becomes one big mess.
@Leoncemalo I'm going to agree with @Seedstarter! I bet if you pull it out of its pot, you'll find more roots than soil (these guys can grow some thick gnarly roots). Then you have all those pups pushing each other up and out of the soil. There's just not enough nutrients to go around and support everyone, so parts will start dying off. Your options are move the whole plant, fully intact, into a bigger pot, or remove some of the pups. If it were me, I'd probably move to a bigger pot AND remove some pups, depending how things look. Just make sure the new pot isn't more than 2-3 inches bigger than the current one 😊
So it started going brown after I pruned two of the thickest stems, I ll attach a photo, sadly those 2 died🫀
after these 2 had died the plant has gone downhill
I would ideally, as I ve got it quite stretched out, wanna get it as compact as possible like here
so nice
@Seedstarter @stephonicle what else do you suggest other than the mamdatory repot
@Leoncemalo so, it likely got stretched out like that from not getting enough light. The only way to make it grow more compact is to move it to a spot that gets more light. I see it's currently in an east-facing window, which only gets sun in the morning. Morning sun is the gentlest, so you might consider moving it to either a west or south facing window instead. West-facing gets afternoon sun, which is the strongest, and south-facing gets the most hours of sun per day (if you're in the northern hemisphere).

When you repotted the pups, did you let them callous off and remove some of the lowest leaves before placing them in soil? I like to let mine sit and callous for at least a week or two. I also dip them in rooting hormone first, it helps kickstart root growth.
they callused for 2-3 days hahaahh, yeah I only have east and west facing windows, but on the west side a big birch creates a shade @stephonicle
also I got it stretched out
