Is it normal for Krimson Princess to stop growing for 5 m...
4β pot with drainage

@BossBurlemarx Hi Lucia
the Krimson Princess is considered a slow-growing plant, particularly compared to some other varieties, because the variegation reduces its chlorophyll for photosynthesis. However, its growth rate can be significantly influenced by conditions like sufficient light, which can increase growth, and proper care.
Slower growth: Its variegated leaves, which are a mix of green and creamy white, have less chlorophyll than solid green leaves, resulting in a slower growth rate.
Impact of light: While it can tolerate lower light, its growth will be slower and possibly "leggy" with few leaves. To encourage growth, provide it with bright, indirect light.
Growth stages: Hoyas go through different growth stages. They may appear to grow slowly at first while they focus on root development, and then they will "leap" into faster growth once established.
Container size: Keeping this plant in a slightly snug pot can encourage more robust growth and flowering. I have mine under a grow light and it seems to be doing pretty well. Iβd try to increase the light for the plant but I would also check the roots and soil. Here is mine, Iβve only had it about 6 months and sheβs definitely grown but itβs been lately, sheβs taken off.

Thank you for your reply and the throughout and thoughtful insight. The info attached to my question was taken when I first got mine about a year and a half ago. It grew beautifully and then it stopped. As you can see from the new picture. I tried 12 hours glow light, moved to an East facing window, changed to a smaller terracotta potβ¦.still nothing!!!! Not one new leaf since this May. I have the βqueen β and she is doing the same thingβ¦ I moved her highest to a south facing window in a bathroom, stillβ¦nothingβ¦is it normal???
